Your donations are tax deductible. **We are always in need of doggie supplies, crates and treats, etc. If you have used items lying around, please let us know and we can arrange to pick these things up. Items needed also are blankets, bleach, Bounty paper towels, nylabones, 18 and 20 inch buckle collars, as well as adjustable puppy collars. You can make a direct donation to our dogfood account if you so desire. Contact us to see how. Petsmart or Petco gift certificates are also appreciated. You will receive a picture, and your sponsorship will go towards spaying /neutering and care of this dog until a home is found.

State legislator says five dog breeds should be banned
After two severe dog attacks in St. Paul, DFL state Rep. John Lesch said that he will introduce legislation next year to ban Chow Chows, Wolf hybrids, Pit Bulls, Akitas and Rottweilers in Minnesota.
"The steps and methods he is attempting to make into law should be a grave concern to all pet owners, but especially to the owners of those breeds listed in the ban. The bill is short sighted and an uninformed, knee jerk reaction that in no way addresses the underlying cause of truly dangerous dogs...irresponsible ownership. "

We are proud to be one of 500 rescues/shelters chosen nationwide to become Rescue Ambassadors for the Purina Pro Plan Rally to Rescue Program. We have some fun adoption events being planned this year, and we will post them here as they get closer..so stay tuned! We have adoption kits to send home with each dog. These kits include coupons , training and health information, and Rally to Rescue collar and wristband sets for you and your new dog.
